ANNIVERSARIES Wash. Coeur d'Alene, Idaho Tuesday, August 21, 2001 Page D5 CHRONICLE Obituaries Edward Marks SPOKANE Visitation for Edward C. Marks, 68, is planned for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, from 9 a.m.

to 5 p.m. Wednesday, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Riverside Memorial Park.

Mr. Marks, who died Saturday, was a lifetime Spokane resident. He served in the Army from 1957 to 1963. He worked for many years as a truck driver following his military service. "He was a member of the Hillyard Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and volunteered at Spokane Raceway Park.

Survivors include eight daughters, Kandy Cameron, Kris Cornett, Kellie Gray, Kim Marks, Jean Marie Cuttlers-Davis, Debbie Rowell, Patsy Woodall and Susan Platt; a son, Edward Marks; five brothers, Bob, Jerry, Larry and Skip Marks and Frank Stevens; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dorothy Mayo SPOKANE Private family service for Dorothy M. Mayo, 85, was held. Mrs. Mayo, who was born in Waubay, S.D., died Aug.

13. She was a 40-year resident of Spokane. She worked as a shipping and receiving clerk for PayLess Drug Stores from 1957 until her retirement in 1969. Mrs. Mayo was a member of the Eagles Lodge and St.

Charles Roman Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Earl; two sons, William Mayo of Soldotna, Alaska, and Michael Mayo of Yokuska, Japan; a daughter, Judy Mayo of Spokane; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Spokane Firefighters Association. Eldred Hughes POST FALLS Memorial service for Eldred E. Hughes, 88, is planned for 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday at English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls. Mr. Hughes, who was born in Oakesdale, died Thursday. He graduated from high school in Harrington, in 1932, and attended Kinman Business School in Spokane. He worked as a secretary to the superintendent of the Union Pacific Railroad.

In 1941 he married Mary McCormick, and they purchased the McCormick Greenhouse in Post Falls from her parents in 1944. They changed the name of the business to Hughes Greenhouses and continued as sole proprietors until entering a partnership with their son, Howard and his wife, Marcia in 1976. The family business expanded into the regional floral industry and included a retail florist shop. Mr. Hughes created an innovative technique of growing roses, and had served as the first president of the Washington Floriculture Association.

He was a member of the Northwest Florist Association and Roses and was a past member of Toastmasters the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He had served as chairman of the board of Spokane Flower Growers and the Associated Flower Growers for more than 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, carpentry, learning computer skills and making video and photo chronicles. Survivors include his wife; three children, Helen Hindley of Spokane, and Howard Hughes and Carol Nichols, both of Post Falls; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Memorial contributions may be made to the Post Falls Old Church Restoration Project or the Post Falls Historical Society.

Planck, 67, will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home. Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. today at St.

Mary's Roman Catholic Church in the Spokane Valley. Funeral Mass is planned for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Mr. Planck, who died Friday, was a 40-year Spokane resident.

He served in the Army during the Korean War, and worked as a production worker for many years. Mr. Planck was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the American Italian Club and the Tacoma (Wash:) Eagles Lodge. Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Juanita "Chick" Planck; two sons, Dean Planck of Graham, and Darrin Planck of Tacoma; a daughter, Kendra Harrigan of Tacoma; a stepdaughter, Sandra Johnson of Spokane; a brother, William Planck of Federal Way, and five grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Poor Clare Nuns. Herman Sundler RATHDRUM, IDAHO Memorial service for Herman W. Sunder, 86, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Coeur d'Alene Memorial Funeral Home. Mr.

Sundler, who was born in Glentana, died Saturday. He served in Italy, Sicily and North Africa during World War I1. In 1946 he married Ruth Bachman in Coeur d'Alene. They lived on the Rathdrum Prairie where they raisedanimals and farmed. Mr.

Sunder started working at Kaiser Aluminum in 1947 and retired in 1977. He was a long-time member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and served two terms as post commander at Hayden Lake Post 9831. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Donna West of Seattle; two sisters, Cleon Peterson of Hood, and Audrey True of Newport, and three granddaughters. Mary (Bartlett) Dirstine SPOKANE Service for Mary (Bartlett) Dirstine, 92, was Monday at Fairmount Memorial Park. Mrs.

Dirstine, who was born in Little Falls, died Thursday. She was a lifetime resident of the Spokane area. She attended Holy Names Academy and Eastern Washington State Normal School in Cheney. In 1934 she married Joe Dirstine. Mrs.

Dirstine taught elementary school, and was the manager and buyer for the Deaconess Hospital gift shop. She was a member of Atheneum, Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames, Avalon Garden Club and the Deaconess Pharmaceutical Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Carol Dalgleish of Bountiful, Utah; two sons, David Dirstine of Washington, D.C., and Roger Dirstine of Loveland, eight grandchildren and 11 great Memorial contributions may be made to the Northwest Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. Margaret (Naccarato) Sather SPOKANE Service for Margaret D. (Naccarato) Sather, 77, was Sunday at HennesseySmith Funeral Home.

Burial was Monday at the Newport (Wash.) City Cemetery. Mrs. Sather, who died Thursday, was a longtime resident of Priest River, Idaho, before moving to Spokane in 1993. She was born in Newport, Wash. She worked at various restaurants for many years, and while in Spokane worked parttime at Mama Mia's Restaurant until 1998.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bjarne "Johnny" Sather in 1995. Survivors include a son, Greg Sather; a sister, Evelyn Swider; three brothers, Joe Naccarato, Norman Moriniti and Flavie Lee; three grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. Jackson David Pettina To Michelle and Richard Pettina of Spokane. He weighed 8 lb. and was 20 inches long (Aug.

17). Kimberly Janette Esperun To Rebecca and Keith Esperun of Spokane. She weighed 8 lb. 5 oz. and was inches long (Aug.

18). Elizabeth Anne Hughes To Tracy Womach and Todd Hughes of Greenacres. She weighed 7 lb. 8 oz. and was inches long (Aug.

18). Charles Kyrell Williams IV To Ella and Charles Williams Ill of Spokane, He weighed 5 lb. 4 oz. and was inches long (Aug. 18).

Valley Hospital and Medical Center Lilly Higgins To Jennifer and Jason Higgins of Spokane. She weighed 7 lb. 6 oz. and was inches long (Aug. 16), Charlotte Frances McKinley To Elizabeth and Robert McKinley of Greenacres.

She weighed 6 lb. 14 oz. and was 19 inches long (Aug. 17). Benjamin Casey Wilson To Holly Seileb and Benjamin Wilson of Spokane.

He weighed 6 lb. 11 oz. and was 19 inches long (Aug. 17). Gloria Hilliard SPOKANE Richmond Shoemaker SPOKANE Service for Richmond Albert Shoemaker, 80, was Thursday at Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Newport, Wash.

Born in Endicott, Mr. Shoemaker, died Aug. 10. He was 25-year resident of Spokane. He grew up in Cusick, served in the Navy with the 55th Construction Battalion (Seabees) World War Il in the South Pacific.

He returned to Spokane after and in 1948 married Patricia Mr. Shoemaker received a accounting from Gonzaga University 1955. In the early 1960s worked for and Narver of California. His career contract management took him construction sites in California, Thailand, Greece and Saudi Arabia. His wife died in May.

Survivors include two sons, Shoemaker of San Juan Capistrano, and Austin Shoemaker of Spokane; daughter, Anne-Marie Ganster of sister, Betty Guilt of Spokane; and grandchildren. Anna Sisson MULLAN, IDAHO Patrick a Italy; a five Graveside service for Anna Lea Sisson, 67, will be at 3 p.m today at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Mullan. Shoshone Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Sisson, who was born in Sullivan, died Thursday.

She graduated from high school in Indiana, and in 1970 moved to Mullan, from Terre Haute, Ind. She married Henry Sisson in 1980 in Coeur d'Alene. He died in 1997. Mrs. Sisson was a homemaker and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include five daughters, Sharon and Billie of Spokane, Karen and Iola of Anchorage, Alaska, and Wendy of Randolph, Utah; two sons, Fred of Spokane and Donald of Randolph, Utah; a brother, Chester Hensley of Magna, Utah; 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Earl 'Mac' McNamee POST FALLS No service will be held for Earl Leonard "Mac" (Robinson) McNamee, 92, at his request. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. McNamee, who was born in Bessemer City, died Tuesday.

He was a 27-year resident of Post Falls. In 1932 he married Jessie Lee Pierce. The couple had two children before divorcing in 1938. Mr. McNamee moved to Alaska and worked as an ironworker.

In 1945 he married Jeanette H. Kokta. They moved to Spokane, where he aiso worked as an ironworker. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mary Jeanette Milne of Spokane; a sister, Bernadette Olson of Bellevue, seven grandchildren, 24 greatgrandchildren and one great-greatgrandson. Camelia Campbell SPOKANE No service will be held for Camelia Campbell, 100, at her request.

Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Ms. Campbell, who was born in Camden, N.J., died Aug. 14. She was a resident of Spokane for 11 years.

She moved to New York at the age of 18 to pursue a career in theater. She became an actress on Broadway and performed for more than 20 years. During that time she was an understudy to actress Lillian Gish and acted in a play that was written by Mae West. Ms. Campbell then had a second career doing promotional work for Columbia Artists for 20 years.

Survivors include her sister, Bertha Pence; and several nieces and nephews. William Kenneth Babin To Angela Weise and John Babin of Spokane. He weighed 8 lb. 10 oz. and was inches long (Aug.

16). Bredyn Agustus Cunningham To Krista Cunningham of Spokane. He weighed 8 lb. 8 oz. and was inches long (Aug.

17). Kellton Chance Carlsteen To Charlotte LaValle and Koll Carlsteen of Spokane. He weighed 7 lb. 11 oz. and was inches long (Aug.

16). MacKenzie Annastatia Riddle To Amber Henley and Dan Riddle of Spokane. She weighed 6 lb. 6 oz. and was inches long (Aug.

Wednesday at the funeral home. Born in Polson, Mrs. Hilliard, died Saturday. She was a 49-year Spokane resident and was a 1967 graduate of West Valley High School. In 1968 she married Dave Hilliard.

Mrs. Hilliard worked as a bookkeeper a grocery store. Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Heidi Romagosa of Corpus Christie, Texas, Traci Skylstad and Ami Wolfe, both of Spokane, and Amber Hilliard of Long Beach, N.Y.; her mother, Florence; two brothers, Dan and Roger; three sisters, Bonnie, Joan and Sandy; and one granddaughter. Kimberley Glasgow REARDAN, WASH. Funeral for Kimberley Dawn (Cocklereece) Glasgow, 37, will be at 10 a.m.

today at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow at West Greenwood Cemetery in Reardan, Wash. Mrs. Glasgow, who was born in Frankfurt, Germany, died Aug. 14.

She grew up in Reardan and was a 1982 graduate of Reardan High School. She graduated from Whitworth College with a double major in business management and accounting. During and after college, Mrs. Glasgow worked for various loan departments and also for the Spokane County Sheriff's Department. Most recently she worked as a team leader processing loans at GMAC Finance Division.

Survivors include a daughter, Danielle Glasgow of Reardan; her fiance, Thomas Bishop of Reardan; her parents, Ron and Janet Cocklereece of Reardan; two brothers, Craig and Corey Cocklereece, both of Reardan; her grandmother, Charlotte Chester of Davenport, her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Cocklereece of Greensboro, N.C.; and a granddaughter. Della Tayloe-Bishop COVILLE, WASH.

No public service will be held for Della Arminta Tayloe-Bishop, 99. Burial will be at Mountain View Park Cemetery in Colville. Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Tayloe-Bishop, who was born in Mountain Grove, died Wednesday, She attended school in Mountain Grove, and in 1915 married Arvil Tayloe, when she was 14.

The couple ran a farm in Mountain Grove until moving to the Colville area in 1936, where they rented a farm in Echo Valley for three years and then in Arden for six years. She and her husband then bought a ranch and grew crops and raised livestock. Mrs. Tayloe-Bishop sold the ranch and moved to Colville in 1964 after her husband's death. In 1971 she married Roy Bishop.

He died in 1976. Survivors include two daughters, Bessie Drey of Smithers, British Columbia, and Bertie Martin of Colville; 14 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 25 great-greatgrandchildren and one great-great-greatgrandchild. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
